Do you currently work with anaesthetists in Hobart?
Not yet — and we'd rather say so plainly than imply otherwise. Fast Tracking is a Bendigo-based boutique anaesthetic billing service, founded in 2013, and we don't currently have any Tasmanian anaesthetists on our books. We'd like to change that. The same service we deliver to specialists in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide is on offer here — direct list collection from your surgical rooms, a dedicated account manager, the same 4.5% all-inclusive rate.
How can a Bendigo-based service handle Hobart billing?
The same way it handles billing for anaesthetists in every other capital — remotely. List collection happens via direct relationships with your Hobart surgical rooms, not in person. Patient communication is handled by phone and email. Claims, follow-up, rejections, and audit support all happen centrally from our Bendigo office. The geography is irrelevant to the work — what matters is that someone is doing it properly.
Which Hobart private hospitals would you cover?
Whichever ones you work in. The major private surgical sites in Hobart include Calvary Lenah Valley Hospital (the largest private hospital in Tasmania), Calvary St John's in South Hobart, Hobart Private Hospital on Argyle Street, and Hobart Day Surgery — Tasmania's only standalone multidisciplinary day hospital. We'd build the relationship with each surgical room you operate in before your first list with us. If you work in a smaller day surgery or specialist consulting room not on that list, we'd build that relationship too — same process.
What does anaesthetic billing cost in Hobart?
Anaesthetic billing in Hobart costs 4.5% of collected revenue, plus GST, with Fast Tracking. There are no setup fees, no exit fees, no software charges, and no minimum monthly fee. The same rate as everywhere else we work — Hobart isn't priced differently. The full breakdown is on our
pricing page.
Are you looking to take on Tasmanian anaesthetists generally?
Yes — particularly in Hobart, Launceston, and the North-West Coast. Boutique by design means we grow deliberately rather than chase volume, but Tasmania is somewhere we'd genuinely like to build a presence. Whether you're in early private practice, considering switching providers, or just exploring options — we'd be happy to talk.
How do I switch from my current Hobart billing arrangement?
Switching takes about a week, with no gap in collections. You give us a single point of contact at your current provider; we coordinate the transfer of your patient records, Informed Financial Consents, and any in-flight claims. Most anaesthetists are fully migrated within five business days. Free migration is included as standard.
