As Practice Manager, she sits at the centre of everything operational — overseeing the Account Manager team, training new staff on the specifics of anaesthetic MBS quality-assurance review, and stepping in personally when an anaesthetist needs an answer that doesn't fit a script.
Her job is the bit you don't see: making sure the operational machinery behind every claim — the patient communication, the surgical-rooms liaison, the rejection follow-up, the audit trail — runs the way it's supposed to. Quietly, accurately, and without the anaesthetist needing to think about any of it.
My job is to make sure the anaesthetists we look after never have to think about billing. If they're thinking about it, we're not doing ours.
