Where are you actually based?
Bendigo, Victoria — about 150 kilometres north of Melbourne, up the Calder. We're a Victorian company that has looked after Melbourne anaesthetists since 2013. The same team handles your billing whether you practise in East Melbourne, Box Hill, Frankston or Geelong. There's no offshore call centre and no outsourced switchboard. You'll always speak to your dedicated account manager or someone on their team.
How quickly will I get paid?
Claims are submitted same-day or next business day. Most Medicare claims clear within 2–5 business days; private health fund claims typically 3–7 days. We reconcile your account daily, so you always know what's been paid, what's outstanding, and what's been queried. Most anaesthetists who switch from in-house billing see their average days-to-payment drop noticeably within the first quarter.
What software and reporting do I get?
A cloud-based billing platform, an iOS/Android invoicing app, and a real-time payment dashboard — all included in the 4.5% rate, no per-user license fees. You can see every invoice, every claim status, every payment received, and download monthly reconciliation reports. The platform integrates with practice management software for diary sync, and supports digital IFC signing, gap-quote generation, and ANZCA CPD support.
Is my patient data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted in Australian data centres, with two-factor authentication required for all account access. We're aligned with Privacy Act 1988 requirements and Australian healthcare data security standards. Daily encrypted backups, no offshore data transfer, no third-party data sharing. We can provide a written security overview on request.
Which Melbourne private hospitals do you cover?
Effectively all of them. Every Melbourne private hospital and day surgery centre our anaesthetists work in is in our coverage — including Epworth Richmond, Epworth Eastern (Box Hill), Epworth Freemasons (East Melbourne), Cabrini Malvern, Cabrini Brighton, Knox Private (Wantirna), The Avenue Hospital (Windsor), Frances Perry House (Parkville), Melbourne Private (Parkville), Mulgrave Private, Holmesglen Private (Moorabbin), Linacre Private (Hampton), Warringal Private (Heidelberg), Peninsula Private (Frankston), St John of God (Berwick and Frankston), and beyond. If you join us and work somewhere we haven't dealt with before, we'll build the relationship with that surgical room before your first list. The list above includes the major sites — it isn't exhaustive.
Can you handle a public/private split practice in Melbourne?
Yes — many of the Melbourne anaesthetists we look after run public appointments at the Royal Melbourne, the Alfred, Monash or Austin alongside their private lists. We bill the private work cleanly and stay out of the way of your public sessions. The split is one of the most common shapes of Melbourne consultant practice — we know how to work around it without making your week harder.
What does anaesthetic billing cost in Melbourne?
Anaesthetic billing in Melbourne costs 4.5% of collected revenue, plus GST, with Fast Tracking. There are no setup fees, no exit fees, no software charges, and no minimum monthly fee. The same rate as everywhere else we work — Melbourne isn't priced differently. The full breakdown is on our
pricing page.
Can you handle multi-site practice across Melbourne?
Yes — multi-site work is the rule, not the exception in Melbourne. A single anaesthetist might be at Epworth Richmond on Monday, Cabrini Malvern on Wednesday, and Knox on Friday, with a day surgery list in between. Because we deal with each surgical room individually rather than asking you to upload lists yourself, the more sites you work, the more value the rooms-direct service delivers.
How do I switch from my current Melbourne billing service?
Switching takes about a week, with no gap in collections. You give us a single point of contact at your current provider; we coordinate the transfer of your patient records, Informed Financial Consents, and any in-flight claims. Most anaesthetists are fully migrated within five business days. Free migration is included as standard.
