Regional & Remote Anaesthetic Billing
Specialist billing support for private anaesthetists practising outside the capital cities — across regional Victoria, NSW, QLD, WA, SA and TAS, plus visiting and locum work in remote and rural facilities.
Same fast turnaround, same fund coverage, same direct contact. We’ve supported anaesthetists in centres including Geelong, Newcastle, Toowoomba and Cairns — and similar regional locations across every state.
Lodged Within 48 Hours, Every Time
Your invoices are processed and submitted to Medicare and the private health funds within two business days of reaching us — not batched weekly, not held until month-end.
Whether you operate at St Vincent’s Sydney, Hollywood Perth, or a regional day-surgery centre, the turnaround is the same. Faster lodgement means faster payment and fewer claims ageing on your books.
National MBS Expertise, with the State Nuances That Catch Others Out
The Medicare Benefits Schedule is national, but every state has its own private health fund mix and pricing quirks.
We know how Bupa, Medibank, HCF, NIB and the smaller restricted funds settle anaesthetic claims across NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, ACT and NT — including the IFC thresholds, no-gap schedules and known-gap arrangements that vary fund by fund. State-specific knowledge, without the state-specific overhead.
Direct to the Person Handling Your Account
You speak with the same billing manager every time you call — not a queue, not a regional handoff, not “let me transfer you.”
Whether you’re checking a claim status from Adelaide or working through a complex IFC in Brisbane, it’s the same direct relationship and the same person who already knows your list, your hospitals, and your preferences.
Wherever You Practise, Your Billing Should Be the Easiest Part of Your Week
Send us your list volume and current biller (if any) — we’ll send a quote with exact commission for your situation within 24 business hours.

Frequently Asked Questions About National Coverage
Do you bill for anaesthetists in rural and remote Australia?
Yes. We support private anaesthetists in regional Victoria, regional NSW, regional Queensland, regional WA, regional SA and regional Tasmania — including those practising in smaller private hospitals, rural day-surgery centres, and visiting/locum arrangements at remote facilities.
Distance from a capital city has no impact on our service — every claim is processed from our central operations hub the same business day it’s received. Whether you operate at a single regional hospital, rotate between metropolitan and rural lists, or take visiting work across state borders, your billing is handled identically.
We’ve supported anaesthetists in regional centres including Geelong, Newcastle, Toowoomba and Cairns, and similar locations across every state.
How does remote billing actually work? Do I need to install anything?
No software installation, no integrations, no IT setup. You provide patient and procedure information securely (via your existing operating list or a simple secure submission), and we handle the rest — MBS coding, IFC uploads, claim submission to Medicare and the relevant private health fund, follow-up on unpaid invoices, and reconciliation of payments to your nominated bank account.
The entire workflow runs alongside your existing hospital systems without disrupting them. You don’t change anything about how you currently operate clinically — only the administrative overhead disappears. For more on the day-to-day workflow, see our guide on how to bill for anaesthetic services.
Do you support all major health funds?
Yes. We process claims with Bupa, Medibank Private, HCF, NIB, ahm, Australian Unity, HBF, Defence Health, Latrobe Health Services, Teachers Health Fund, Police Health, Doctors’ Health Fund, GMHBA, Frank Health Insurance, AHSA-affiliated restricted funds, and the smaller industry-specific funds.
We also handle Medicare bulk-bill, DVA gold/white card claims and self-pay invoices. If a patient has a fund we haven’t worked with before — which is rare — we’ll establish the relationship, not push it back to you.
How quickly can a new anaesthetist onboard with Fast Tracking?
We start onboarding the same day you sign up — no waiting period, no contract review delays, no setup fees. Onboarding involves verifying your provider number(s), nominating a bank account for fund payments, agreeing on a workflow for receiving your operating lists, and setting up secure communication.
Once active, your first claim can be processed the same day the patient information arrives. We handle the transition from your previous biller, if any — including reconciliation of in-flight claims — so there’s no gap in your billing during changeover. New to private practice? See our new anaesthetist referral program and our guide to starting a successful private practice.
What’s the catch with the 2% commission rate?
None. Our pricing is straightforward commission on what you actually get paid — no setup fees, no monthly subscriptions, no per-claim charges, and no contracts locking you in. The 2% rate applies to qualifying list volumes; for full pricing tiers and what’s included, see our pricing page.
Our National Operations Hub
Centralising every claim in one secure facility — rather than splitting work across regional sub-offices — means your data stays consistent, your billing specialist is the same person every time, and your turnaround doesn’t depend on which state your hospital is in.
