SA's private anaesthetic community is tightly knit. Reputation travels — including the standards of your administration.
Adelaide private practice has a strong group-practice tradition. Many anaesthetists work through one of the established SA groups; others practise independently. Either way, the surgical rooms are concentrated — Calvary Adelaide and St Andrew's in the CBD, Calvary North Adelaide and the Memorial in North Adelaide, Burnside in the inner east, Flinders Private at Bedford Park, Ashford to the south. Many SA specialists work several of these in a week, and some add a regional list.
A common approach is to ask the anaesthetist to email or upload their lists each week. We do the work ourselves. When you join us, you tell us which Adelaide rooms you work with. We contact each one, introduce ourselves, and build the relationship. From that point on, your lists come directly to us every week. The coordination stops being your problem.
For SA group practices: one process across the whole group, with individual reporting for each anaesthetist, so every member still sees their own invoiced, paid and outstanding figures. Groups collecting over about $200,000 a month get a custom rate, typically below 4.5%.
