Your private practice, set up properly from the first list.
As well as billing, Fast Tracking sets up the admin a new private anaesthetist needs: health fund registrations and gap scheme elections, Eclipse, DVA, WorkCover and BPay/BPoint. If you want them, Dr Hindson also sets up a practice phone number answered in your practice's name, a simple website, Microsoft 365 email and a Google Business Profile.
Billing setup included in the fee.
- Health fund registrations and gap scheme elections (known gap and no gap)
- Eclipse setup for in-hospital claims
- DVA and WorkCover provider setup
- BPay and BPoint so patients can pay online
- Templates for your common procedures, so IFC estimates are accurate
- Every claim in your first fortnight checked by a senior biller
All of this is covered by the one fee: 4.5% + GST of what we collect (see pricing). Here's how onboarding works, step by step, and why many new fellows choose to outsource their billing. I have been associated with Fast Tracking for over 3 years after deciding to establish my own anaesthetic practice in a rural area. Brad and his staff were incredibly helpful as I worked my way through a stressful and challenging process. Fast Tracking had solutions for the multiple problems a new practice faces, making the process of setting up a practice very easy. The fees for this professional care were below average practice costs and remained low for all my time with Fast Tracking. The feedback from my patients regarding the service provided by Fast Tracking staff was uniformly positive.
Common questions
Do you register my business or ABN?
No. Your entity, ABN, tax registrations and domain registration stay with your accountant. We set up the billing, fund and practice-administration side.
Are the practice extras included in the 4.5%?
Fund registrations, gap scheme elections, Eclipse, DVA, WorkCover and BPay/BPoint setup are included in the 4.5% + GST at no extra cost.
The practice extras (the phone line, simple website, Microsoft 365 email and Google Business Profile) are optional, and they are also included in the 4.5% + GST at no extra cost.
Who answers the practice phone number?
Our team answers it in your practice's name from 9am to 5pm Melbourne time, Monday to Friday, so patients and rooms reach the people who handle your billing. After hours, callers reach a voicemail in your practice’s name.
When should I contact a billing service before my first private list?
Early. Starting private practice usually takes 3–6 months, and health fund registrations can take longer to process than the rest of our onboarding. Talking to us while you're still arranging credentialing and provider numbers means the funds, Eclipse and your templates are ready before your first list.
Can I start with only one or two lists a week?
Yes. There is no minimum monthly fee, and the fee is a share of what we collect, so it scales with your work.
Ready when you are.
